KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Studies show that as many as one in six children in the United States have a mental health disorder.
Unfortunately, nearly half of those children do not receive counseling or treatment.
According to a mental health report, mental health disorders are the most common diseases of childhood.
More children are diagnosed with these disorders than the number of children with cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined.
Disorders can include autism, attention-deficit and hyper-activity disorders, and even anxiety and depression.
