Business Office Manager - Kirksville
Position Description:
We are seeking a Business Office Manager to join our team!
The Business Office Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the direction and tactics for the Health Center’s reimbursement strategy. The selected candidate will oversee operation of the accounts receivable department, which encompasses medical coding, charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable follow up and reimbursement management. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximization of cash flow while monitoring patient, physician and other customer relations.
The selected candidate will ensure the activities of the billing operations within the Health Center are conducted in a manner that is consistent with overall department protocol, while remaining compliant with federal, state & payer regulations, guidelines, and requirements. Supervisory experience is preferred as selected candidate will oversee direction of business office staff. This includes, work allocation, training and problem resolution, evaluating performance and making recommendations for personnel actions, and motivating employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree in business administration/related field, or equivalent management experience preferred. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) designation, knowledge of accounting principles, and familiarity of medical insurance/health care billing are preferred, but not required. However, candidate must be willing to obtain Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
Medical Sonographer - OB\GYN Specialty Group - Kirksville
Position Description:
We are seeking a Medical Sonographer to join our team! Candidate will use equipment that produces two-dimensional high frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the human body for use in diagnosis of disease or organ malfunctions. The Medical Sonographer will also work with physicians by reading sonographs and making diagnostic judgements based on test results. The qualified candidate must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, have the ability to work independently, work efficiently under stress and adjust rapidly to continually changing work conditions. Candidate must possess excellent people skills for relating to concerns of patients and the ability to work with a diverse group of people, including providers, support staff and administration. Candidate will have or be willing to obtain sonography related certification from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) within two (2) years as a condition of continued employment.

Our OB/GYN clinic is housed in the same location as our Pediatric and Dental clinics and in close contact with our Behavioral Health Providers to allow patient centered, coordinated care.

Billing Specialist - Kirksville
Position Description:
NEWLY INCREASED STARTING SALARY! We are seeking a BILLING SPECIALIST to join our team! The qualified candidate will work in a team environment in NMHC’s Business Office, assisting with the management of patient accounts including private pay accounts and a variety of 3rd party payers. The candidate’s daily tasks will include, but are not limited to: working patient accounts, fielding patient inquiries, communication with NMHC’s various clinics, running system reports, working in email and Excel spreadsheets, and operating scanners and copier machines. The candidate will also eventually learn to assist with new and renewal payer credentialing and enrollment, and work with NMHC’s sliding fee discount program – which is offered to assist patients at or below 200% of poverty in payment for services. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment and is efficient with deadline-oriented tasks. Excellent customer service and patient privacy, as outlined in HIPAA regulations, is a must. Prior insurance filing/billing experience preferred; however, we will train the right candidate.
