Patient Services Associate - Kirksville, MO

Position Description: 

The qualified candidate will be able to answer phones, schedule appointments, accept payment on patient accounts and help with additional office functions as needed to maintain smooth patient flow.  The ideal candidate will enjoy patient interaction and have excellent communication skills, as well as be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be computer literate. The candidate in this position spends a great deal of time on the phone with insurance companies determining eligibility and assisting patients with insurance applications. Experience working with electronic medical/dental records is a huge plus. The selected individual must be able to provide exceptional customer service to each and every patient. Prior Medical/Dental Office Experience and/or Insurance experience preferred, but not required.

Community Health Worker - Foster Care Focused

Position Description: 

As a priority, the Community Health Worker (CHW) will focus on children in foster care, adopted from foster care, Division of Youth Services, juvenile justice, and their families. The qualified candidate will assist in accessing primary medical, dental, and behavioral health care for children in their care with a focus on getting children seen for required initial and follow up visits. The CHW serves as a liaison between the patient and community resources and will promote, maintain, and improve the health of patients and their family. The qualified candidate will provide social support and informal counseling, advocate for individuals and community health needs, and conduct several assessments. Community outreach, such as home visits and health screenings, will be required within our eleven county service area.

The qualified applicant should have successfully completed a Community Health Worker formal training or be willing to obtain certification. Candidate must be knowledgeable about or have experience with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Youth Services, child welfare, child advocacy, behavioral health organizations or juvenile justice. The qualified applicant must have a passion for serving the youth population and possess the ability to empathize and provide emotional support, encouragement, and motivation to patients.

Registered Nurse - Kirksville

Position Description: 

The qualified candidate must be able to work in a high volume clinic. The ideal candidate will enjoy patient interaction and have excellent communication skills, as well as be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  Must be able to administer medicines, develop and manage nursing plans, assist physicians in examinations and treatments, coordinate patient prescriptions, labs, blood draws, injections, specimen collection, patient notifications and other clinic functions as needed to maintain a smooth office flow. The chosen candidate must have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills and be able to work independently, as well as with others.   Good computer skills a must. Experience working with EMR preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant - Kirksville

Position Description: 

The LPN or CMA will work in a high volume clinic where they will discover a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and support. The ideal candidate will enjoy patient interaction and have proficient communication skills, as well as be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  Must take pride in patient care by offering support in areas such as: computer skills, team player, and excellent patient/customer service.  The LPN or CMA will be equipped to deliver high quality care by assisting patients in and out of exam rooms, taking vital signs, coordinate patient meds, prescriptions, labs, blood draws, injections, specimen collection, patient notifications and other clinic functions as needed to maintain a smooth office flow.

General Dentist 

Position Description: 

We are looking to add a Dentist to our team that enjoys working with children and has a desire to care for and treat the underserved, including working on our Mobile Dental Unit. Services provided by our dentists include general dentistry, emergency needs, dentures, restorative work such as crowns, bridges, partials and periodontal services (gum treatment), hygiene and tissue management and sealants.

OB/Gyn Physician

Position Description: 

The preferred candidate to join our team is a physician that will provide high quality health care to women and has a desire to care for and treat the underserved. Services provided by our OB/GYN Physicians include the full range of obstetrics and gynecology specialty services, including outpatient visits and procedures, inpatient deliveries and surgeries as well as the opportunity to teach health professionals, students and residents. Our OB/GYN clinic is housed in the same location as our Pediatric and Dental clinics and in close contact with our behavioral health providers to allow patient centered, coordinated care.

Pediatrician

Position Description: 

The preferred candidate to join our team is a physician that enjoys working with children and has a desire to care for and treat the underserved. Services provided by our Pediatricians include treatment of patients in our outpatient clinic, minimal management of inpatient hospital care and the opportunity to teach health professionals, students and residents. Our Pediatric clinic is unique with behavioral health integration and is housed in the same location as our OB/Gyn and Dental clinics.
