Medical Assistant Training Program

The National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement is partnering with Northeast Missouri Health Council to help fill the medical assistant gap in the healthcare industry. NIMAA is structured with real people and clinics in mind. Their goal is to efficiently prepare students to step confidently into a new career as an MA.

About NIMAA

NIMAA provides educational opportunities that address critical workplace shortages in primary care.

The Medical Assistant program enables graduates to gain the competencies and knowledge to be eligible to apply for an entry-level position in the medical assisting profession.

When do classes begin?

Classes for the first cohort begin September 3, 2024. The course length is 8 months.

Where are classes held?

Curriculum will be held online with NIMAA educators. Skills labs & hands-on training will be held in Northeast Missouri Health Council locations.

 

Do I have to be a current employee to apply?

This opportunity is open to NMHC Employees and Non-Employees.

How much does the program cost?

The program tuition and fees is $6,785. NIMAA students are able to apply for Federal Student Aid.
