Heather Martin, DO
Family Practice

Dr. Heather Martin is a Family Medicine Physician at Northeast Family Health in Kirksville, Missouri. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, and values the variety of patients and health needs that make every day in family medicine a new adventure.

Dr. Martin earned her Bachelor of Science from Truman State University in 2003, followed by a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from A.T. Still University in 2009 and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in 2013. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center in 2016 and has been board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians since 2016.

In addition to providing comprehensive family medicine care, Dr. Martin enjoys caring for expectant mothers and helping welcome new babies into the world. She provides a wide range of services, including wellness visits, school physicals, medication follow-ups, sutures, IUD placement, skin biopsies, and other in-office procedures. She also takes call with the pediatricians at Northeast Regional Medical Center, allowing her to support families during the birth of their children.

Dr. Martin is passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients and appreciates the teamwork and support that make NMHC feel like family. She is grateful to work alongside colleagues who are truly friends and values the organization's commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active with her husband, Chris, and their four children. She especially enjoys being involved in her children's activities, watching them play sports, and being part of the Northeast Missouri community.
