Joseph Novinger, DO

Dr. Joseph Novinger is a Family Medicine Physician at Northeast Family Health in Kirksville, Missouri. A Kirksville native, Dr. Novinger is proud to return to the community where he was born and raised and is grateful for the opportunity to care for patients throughout Northeast Missouri.

Dr. Novinger earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri before earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in 1989. He completed his postgraduate training in Indianapolis and St. Louis before practicing family medicine in St. Louis for 17 years. He returned to Kirksville in 2008 and has continued serving the community ever since.

Dr. Novinger values the opportunity to provide care to a diverse group of patients, regardless of their ability to pay. He is also proud to serve as a faculty member at his alma mater, ATSU-KCOM, where he enjoys contributing to the education and development of future physicians. He appreciates the collaborative environment at Northeast Missouri Health Council and feels fortunate to work alongside an exceptional team.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Novinger enjoys spending time with his wife, Sandra, and their three daughters, Cassandra, Natalie, and Annaliese, as well as their two grandchildren. He enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and occasionally enjoys a round of golf.
