Matthew Tilton, DO
Family Practice

Dr. Matthew Tilton is a Family Physician and Medical Director at Northeast Missouri Health Council. He provides comprehensive primary care with an emphasis on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, obesity medicine, hepatitis C treatment, and substance use disorder care. He also incorporates point-of-care ultrasound and emerging technologies to improve access, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

 

Dr. Tilton earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine–Wichita in Salina. As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, he has a strong commitment to serving rural and medically underserved communities.

 

As Medical Director, Dr. Tilton works closely with clinicians and staff across NMHC to strengthen clinical quality, expand services, and support practical, evidence-based care.

 

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, attending their many athletic activities, and working on projects around the family’s property.
