Shannon Hatfield, APRN, FNP-C

Shannon Hatfield is a Family Nurse Practitioner who serves patients at the Kirksville Veterans Clinic. With more than 30 years of nursing experience, including 16 years serving at the Kirksville Veterans Clinic, Shannon is dedicated to providing compassionate, dependable, and high-quality care to the patients she serves.

 

Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Central Missouri State University in 1994 and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Missouri in 2010. She became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2010.

 

At the Kirksville Veterans Clinic, Shannon primarily focuses on adult internal medicine, chronic disease management, annual physicals, and wellness and prevention education. She also has special interests in emergency care, diabetes management, dermatology, and wound care.

 

Throughout her career, she has developed strong relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals and is committed to advocating for her patients.

Shannon is proud of the opportunity to care for Veterans and values being part of a healthcare team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those she serves.

 

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good book, and staying active. She especially enjoys spending time outdoors, walking with her dogs, and activities involving water.
