Dr. Wesley Ryle is a Family Medicine Physician at the Kirksville Veterans Clinic. A Kirksville native and member of a three-generation Army family, Dr. Ryle is proud to serve those who have served our country and to provide comprehensive care to veterans and their families.
Dr. Ryle earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Truman State University before earning his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Eisenhower Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.
From 2003 to 2010, Dr. Ryle served as an active-duty physician in the U.S. Army. During his military career, he served as Battalion Surgeon for the 1-8 Infantry Battalion of the 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division. His extensive military medical experience has given him a unique understanding of the healthcare needs of active-duty service members, their families, military retirees, and veterans.
From approximately 2010 to 2019, Dr. Ryle served as faculty at A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he taught medical students and residents while also providing patient care at the Gutensohn Clinic. Since 2019, he has served patients at the Kirksville Veteran’s Clinic. Collectively, Dr. Ryle has approximately 14 years of experience caring for military service members, their dependents, retirees, and veterans.
Dr. Ryle has particular clinical interests in diabetes management and sports medicine. He is committed to providing thoughtful, comprehensive care while building lasting relationships with the patients he serves.As a Kirksville native with deep roots in the community and a lifelong connection to military service, Dr. Ryle is honored to continue caring for the people who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.
